2012 Christmas Ornament

The ETHS's first "Forks of The Yough" ornament
This is the first ornament in a planned series of historic scenes depicting the history of the "Forks of the Yough." This area, "Between Two Rivers," is the land that is located between the Monogahela River and the Youghiogheny River.

The illustrations on the 2012 ornament features a pen and ink drawing of our historic rivers circa 1700 on one side. The other side features an illustration of men traveling on the river in canoes.

The ornament is a 3.25" gold mist glass ball and the illustrations are about 2" printed in full color. Made in the USA.

Karen Howell has been a professional artist for over 35 years. Working in watercolors, acrylics and pen and ink, her subject matter ranges from botanicals, wildlife, scenes and historical subjects. We in Elizabeth Township are proud that we have such a talented artist living in our neighborhood!

Flag Plaza Brick Become a part of Elizabeth Township history by purchasing a custom engraved commemorative brick to be placed in the Flag Plaza at the Elizabeth Township Historical Society's "Coates House Museum" in Boston, PA.

Buying a brick provides an opportunity for you to become a part of our township's heritage by having your name or the name of a loved one inscribed on a brick.

These bricks make a wonderful gift for all occasions. Use a brick to mark a birth, graduation, anniversary, a wedding, or add a meaningful touch to a birthday celebration. They also serve as a lasting memorial to loved ones and friends.
